Comics

I read a few online comics.

I have a reasonably fast reading speed.

I have no patience.

This does not help me to get through archives of the comics, even fairly good ones. Clicking next every 3 seconds and then waiting 20 seconds for the next 3 seconds of gratification really doesn't work for me.

Do you mean that the comics are only good every few strips, or that it takes 20 seconds to load?

Big comics, huh?

That's what Firefox tabbing was meant for :-)

I never understand how H can stand to wait for comics to load. Once I watched him as he calmly sat there, as the panels loaded seemingly pixel by pixel and he was happy as a clam. I got annoyed just watching it, even though I was not reading them myself. It was one of those moment I was sure I was dating an alien.

My solution to this exact problem was to wget -r the archives page and then go away, do something else, and come back and read the comics from my own machine when it was done.
