Buffy Season 6 part 2
Woohoo!
The second half of the season started badly (Doublemeat Palace) went up a (little) bit (Buffy gets framed for murder)), up again (the one where they all get stuck in the house), down a bit (Riley), down a bit (the whole Xander wedding thing), up a lot (Buffy in the asylum), stays fantastic (Spike and Anya!) and then went completely ballistic with the end of season 4 parter. Every episode a cliffhanger, fortunate then that I had it all on tape. There's no way I'm ever watching Buffy on tv - the ability to go "Noooo! Next Tape!!!" is just too beguiling.
I'd rate the season an 8.5 and if you take out doublemeat palace, I'll make that a 9. Take out Riley and punch up the Xander marriage episode and I'll make it a 10.
I realised near the end of the season that the reason Xander annoys me is that he's still written very similarly to how he was in season 1. He's the one that's not so smart, who doesn't have a real role except to go out for cookies and make smart-alec remarks. He's also the only person in the show to see things in black and white, while everyone else lives in shades of grey. I know this is deliberate and I know that he basically saves the world by being the one constant thing in Willow's life. But it still irks me.
Oh, and nice ending with Spike too. I still feel slightly sympathetic for Jonathan tho.

The Wedding really upset me.
You do realise it comes out on tv *before* it comes out on tape?
