Today's apposite lyrics

Accept certain inalienable truths - prices will rise, politicians will philander,
you too will get old and when you do you’ll fantasize that when you were young
prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders.

Personally, I don't really care, unless of course someone can find me a quote from him saying that philanderer's are the source of all evil. I'm generally amazed when they can find a politician who doesn't have a sexual secret somewhere in their closet. It's typical alpha-male behaviour, and if people insist on having alpha-males as their leaders then what do they expect?

It's typical *human* behaviour - given the right opportunity.

Goes for most animals too.

Do you think it's linked that the male tends to be blamed? I liked this:
Ms Temple's boyfriend, lorry driver Barrie Williams, 46, told the Daily Mirror: "I just can't believe that my darling Tracey has been sleeping with John Prescott behind my back. "How dare he split up my relationship with the woman I'd planned to marry".

I mean, dude, blame your fiancee for cheating on you at least as much as the guy she cheated with.

Excess apostrophes, on the other hand, *ARE* the source of all evil!

shame on you.

One thing I've noticed about MPs (more than councillors) is that they have a tendency to think they're immune to comeback - most of them go from being regulated, ruled upon, and controlled highly as local level councillors to being completely devoid of especially strong rules and regs. Add to the fact that cabinet ministers tend to let power go to their head, and you've got a recipe for demonstrations of impulses in the non Ft=mv-mu sense of the word....

I think it was Henry Kissinger who said "Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac"

Says it all really IMO.

If power is the ultimate aphrodisiac then, don't blame them from flaunting it. With the rest of the arguements presented, I think it is the only method of obtaining a bit on the side or paying.

Still remember laughing at press turn around when John Major admitted he had an affair.
